Delete your einkreader account

Reading in einkreader needs no account. An account only exists if you created a profile: it gives you a public page, a name@einkreader.app address, and an inbox to email things to read.

In the app (immediate)

Open einkreader and tap the profile icon (top right).
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete profile.
Confirm. It's done right away.

Without the app

Email xdamman@opencollective.com from the address you use with einkreader, with your name@einkreader.app address. We delete the account within 30 days and confirm by email.

What gets deleted

Your username: name@einkreader.app stops working and can be taken by someone else.
Everything stored on our servers for it: emails waiting in your inbox and their attachments, and your list of accepted senders.
On the device: the profile's key and details.

What stays

Your library on the device (articles, highlights, notes): it was never on our servers, and stays yours.
Things you chose to share publicly (highlights, feedback, your profile card) were published on the open Nostr network, which we don't control. Copies may remain on the relays that received them.
